Default White Turf

The unique panorama of the White Turf attracts some 30,000 spectators to St. Moritz year after year. This superb racing event combines the magnificent scenery of the Upper Engadine with the horses and their jockeys, and the spectators.

Pretty wild looking at some of the photos but looks like a blast!

Gee that's too bad.. Could see how that would happen though. Have you ever been there Pat? What made you read about it?

I have not been, heard it is a huge social spectacle, though. Saw a piece on CNN about it from last year's running, too.

Arletta - I went back in 1996. Awesome experience. It's preceded by a similar meet in January at Arosa. At that meeting, they run one race over hurdles. I tried to make that one a few years ago, but no luck. Weather was to warm and the lake didn't freeze enough. However, they did make it this year.
