Default Running while in foal ~ the iron lady

It seems like Hooh Why has been retired about 85 times this year.

When she won at Tampa at the beginning of April she was already in foal to Leroidesanimaux.

By all accounts she is still in foal and, although her retirement has been announced repeatedly, she is once again entered (in the Lady Canterbury Stakes).

I am continually surprised to her name in the entries and so my question is how much longer can she run for?

If you knew the owner, you would understand.

I think I read that they can run up till 4-5 months preggo. So she is getting close to full retiremenf

They would be an interesting balance to the yearly "Angels" thread, no?
I suppose you're right but then who would you make fun of?

I feel like I'd be letting you down.

it's been done previously, but doesn't seem to happen often. i'd seen in past articles discussing bred mares still racing-seems some trainers think they run better due to hormonal changes.

Interesting and yeah I've noticed pregnant mares running but I've never seen, or noticed one, who ran in as many races.

Guys,

Just a heads up as far as CBY is concerned today for their 2 big turf stakes races- Minneapolis got dumped on last night rain-wise. They're saying over4 inches in some areas of the metro. CBY hasn't made a surface update yet, but the best-case scenario at this point would most likely be the non-stakes turf races off, yielding for the 2 stakes races since the turf course would have 6 hours to dry. And then probably tomorrow off the turf again. That's being optimistic... fingers crossed.

Also, that same storm has Arlington in it's cross-hairs. Lets hope it misses Chicago, but it looks like it's headed straight for there.

Yeah thenkfully the storm just dove south into Iowa and that was it. For awhile it seemed like it was gonna line I-94 through Wisconsin down to Chicago lol. But as Steve said on ATR last week, don't play for rain until it actually starts falling.
