Default No Carolina BBQ at Spa this summer?

Steve,

Caught the beginning of your show on the way to the airport.

Sounded like you will not be at Carolina BBQ during Saratoga? Is this true?

I would hate not having a central place to meet you and DTers.

What gives?

Thanks,

Spyder from SC

Explained last month that we wouldn't be back with the Barbecue for this season. Contract feeder Centerplate has a new deal with NYRA and thought they could make more running the carts and pad site themselves. We will make a presentation in the fall on a new Stadium Club/Carolina Barbecue venture for 2014.

We'll establish a new meet and great spot for this summer.

Sorry to hear that on a selfish level. Was great to head to the BBQ and hang. Wish you the best and may your Saratoga be full of Slambino's!

Heading up early Travers week and hope to say hello.

Sorry to hear this. It was always a fun part of any visit to Saratoga to be able to stop by and say hello to Steve and the various DT posters on site that day.

Keep us posted. I haven't even been to Saratoga yet, but I know that when I do go someday my first stop will be at Carolina Barbecue to see Steve!

That's sad and will be missed this year for sure. BTW I remember the day some drunk fool tried to take one of Steve's table clothes and when caught started sounding off to Simon until Chuck stood up.
