Default Freddy Sanchez - NL Batting Champ

What a great year this guy had. In April you could have probably gotten 1,000,000/1 on this guy for the batting title - he wasnt even a starter for the lowly Pirates! If Joe Randa doesnt break his foot or whatever he did to hurt himself, Sanchez doesnt get the chance to play on a day to day basis. I know most people dont care at all about this, but being a Buccos fan I think he deserves a little credit Congrats to all whose teams have made the playoffs - one of these years the Bucs will come through!!!

1. Freddy Sanchez .... .344
2. Miguel Cabrera .... .339
3. Albert Pujols .... .331

Dustin ... other than getting a nice new ballpark a few years back, Freddy winning the batting title is about the only thing us Bucco fans have had to cheer about the last 14 years ... I think that says a lot about Pirate management that they did not even project this guy as a starter this year and went out and signed an over-the-hill Randa. Heck, I liked Randa when we had him about 8 years ago, that's when they should have re-signed him.

Same thing with the Dodgers,..on the injury front . If Gagne wasn't hurt..No Saito. If Navarro isn't hurt...No Russell Martin. There was another injury I had in mind, but it escapes me now. Props to Colletti for stealing Marlon Anderson!!

But that #2 draft pick could pay dividends in 2 to 3 years.

and you are talking about Ryan Howard.
