Default Princess Arabella hurt?

Had a friend mention to me that he heard she got hurt, but I cannot find anything to verify that, other than her workout pattern. She raced in early January, worked on 1/12 and then 1/20.

Has anyone heard anything?

I haven't heard anything.

The one I'm looking for news on is Deluxe cause there have been rumors... can't find a thing on either girl.

I think it's likely Deluxe is hurt, or retired, based on her form.

I really was hoping Princess Arabella would last at least 3-4 starts before the wheels fall off, but...

Her lone start was the most impressive maiden win by a filly that I can recall since R2R (2nd start) or Zenyatta.

Such a shame. I wonder what happened to her. She's the only Storm Cat-Hasili offspring. Obviously no more of those possible.

That should buy us at least another 10 days before the next thread about her whereabouts.

I checked all of the usual sites for workouts today, nothing until now.

Easy big fella. As I did mention, I was told by someone that he'd heard she was hurt.

Just for that Byk, I'm going to ask where she is every 9th day, before her scheduled workout.

I apologize for overreacting. At least it was in keeping with the spirit of the thread, though.

In retrospect, this thread had it all. A gush about an A.P. Indy-related runner, a (unsubstantiated) death notice via MMSC, bad "insider" info, a Facebook reference, a squabble between posters, a trophy emoticon, Zenyatta, and a resounding lack of accountability when the truth emerges.

The only things missing to complete the DT microcosm were a photo from Coach, a pubmed link from Riot, and an incoherent x-rated analysis from freddymo.

Thanks, M. I heard this about a week ago and that it wasn't exactly new news but I never could find anything.

Too bad. She was a nice horse.

It seemed an appropriate place to ask though. I've wanted to ask but didn't want to create a big problem and upset anyone.

(I did think some of your comments were funny though).

Yeah, I know. I didn't really take either Rollo or you personally.

However, now I really am going to gush exuberantly over this filly when given the chance.

That debut really was spectacular.

I agree 100% You just don't see many firsters win like that, no matter who the competition.

Princess Arabella was injured while training for her next race the overnight Antebellum 75K.

The future Grade 1 winner has been retired from racing to stand stud at Millennium Farms in Kentucky, it was announced.

Though just a few races into her glorious career Princess Arabella might have raced again during 2012 had she not sustained a hind-end injury while training. She hurt her hind end late in morning training hours when another horse – one of only a couple out on the track at the time – ducked in sharply from the outside fence and slammed into Princes Arabella, who was in the midst of a routine gallop.

The Tarras owners will remain part-owners of her as a stallion, and she will stand for a fee of $7,500.
Thanks for the update. I look forward to seeing her at stud.

She's a transgendered TB? Wow. Sorry, I guess I should say "he."
