I started 2 for 2 in the Pick 6, starting with the 10-1 Acorn winner.

Now I'm 2 for 4.

I got cleaned. Had one winner (CC Silk) in races 4-10. Down a boatload today. Bring on Toga.

My across the board bet on C. S. Silk helped reduce the total amount of money lost by me today to about $24.

Good point. On any other day yes, but not yesterday. Yesterday should have been a Monday or Tuesday so most of us would not be betting on horses. The Gambling Gods were on vacation, drunk, or didn't get any or something.

I want to personally apologize to AK and his connections and anyone that bet him or used him in exotics. Here's what really happened.

I met my racing buddy for breakfast. We meet for breakfast on the mornings of the TC races so we can discuss who we each like and how we are going to bet. My friend, well, he's not the luckiest person I know. As we discuss the race he declares that he has no idea who will win the Belmont but one thing for sure is Animal Kingdom will hit the board at a decent show price and that he's going to crush AK to show. As we walked out of the diner I yelled back at him, "don't bet AK to show and blow his chances of hitting the board". Clearly he made his show bet.

I boxed the 2-5-6-9 yesterday. My brother calls me up 2 hours before the Belmont (he's traveling) and tells me to bet the #3 for him. He REALLY likes the #3 given the sloppy track. I bet the #3 to win for him and key the 3-6-9 on his exotics. I tell him emphatically I'm not playing the #3 on my tix; the horse can't get the distance.

"Lessons that I re-learned"

1. You can't bet them all.....
2. That's why they run the race.....
3. God help me, but I love it so......(From the movie Patton)

Thankfully I didn't invest much in the Pick 4, because I didn't have a single winner for $60 bucks.
