Default Pat Valenzuela at Del Mar

I've had many times over the years I was greatly disappointed in Pat Valenzuela.

That said, I think it is necessary to note and mention he is having a fine Del Mar meet.

Three wins today thus far.

I'm really happy that he's doing well (and is back home!) too.

If Byk ever has him on ATR, I'd love to call him and say just three words to him.

It would be the name of a Bill Spawr horse that sent him into his drug induced tailspin.

That didn't come out right. I would like to ask him about that horse and see what he shares about that horse.

Every day he is a success riding, the closer he is to disappointment and a relapse. Pat's my favorite jock ever but I worry about the cycle of ups and downs and where it has taken him prior.

Love the P Val post race victory tap the horse dance....The guy does worship his chance to ride So Cal again.

Best ride I ever witnessed ever at Saratoga was in 1987 P Val aboard the Mel Stute Trained Very Subtle. A simple masterpiece

When I was a small kid growing up in Northeastern Ohio there was a jockey I idolized. I used to send up bets with my mother, and once or twice a stranger....... if I thought my mother would get shut out.

$2 win, $5 place stuff.

One rare day we sat in the Grandstand because it was sleeting in the Spring meet.

I asked a grizzled guy with a cigar if he could go put a bet in for me in case my mother didn't make it back from her early bets....before her "hunch" bets.

He said, "you've got the best jockey at the track, for sure. Let's just hope he's still sober enough to stay on the horse and I think he'll win."

I don't like watching anyone self-destruct. Him, you... anyone.

That said is there anything in life that you do like? Respect? Enjoy?

It seems like you hate everything.

Back to PVal... huge fan, one of the greatest jocks ever and I will always have faith in him no matter how many times he screws up or has screwed up.

Good for him.

That Launch thing he won with on Saturday ain't much of a competitor. I know Rosario blew the ride on the best horse that race, but it still takes a nice ride to get that Launch thing across a wire first.

Take implies a choice.

Regardless of his vices, his ride last night was good. Breaks from the 12 post, eases the horse off the pace, finds the rail, and splits horses without losing any momentum 1 off the rail. I would think this is the type of ride you would praise. Just how this horse goes off at 15-1, there should be an inquiry of the betting public.

I have no respect for p.ussies who post quasi-redboards.

" Just how this horse goes off at 15-1, there should be an inquiry of the betting public."

There is a selections forum where people regularly post picks before the races are run. You're a f.ucking idiot. Stop acting like you know anything about horses.
