That's a very fine ride by David Cohen. No wonder he 'excels' on the Aqu Inner.

You begin to get a sense of how BIG a JUICER Pletcher is when you consider that just about ALL of his 2 year olds have speed. Now, how the **** can that be? He's like the John Sadler on the east coast. Sadler can stretch ANY horse from a sprint to a route and not only have it win but win as if it'd been routing for 5 years. Pletcher can put speed into ANY 2 year old. Right.

Of course, when he ships to DEL, for example, his 2 years olds don't always show speed. In fact, they often trail the field badly early. Wonder why that is?

How I love when jockeys don't move a muscle on a horse until someone comes to them, then the horse who comes to them wins.

Its the thing I hate the most about horse racing...Kinda like the Whitney. They sit chilly and when they go to work the race is already decided.

****in' Shug. How useless is he? His horse is CUTTING BACK 1/16th and with any other trainer is supposed to have MORE left late. With SHUG, she's dead on the turn. I thought Up in Lights was a hanger off her last race. Today, she confirmed it.

I would book Regal Ransom at 4/5 if we had exchange betting. His return was less than impressive and I'm not convinced he's going to hold off the multiple challengers in this race.

Didn't look good for Timber Reserve. Otherwise, looks like that bias is back.

****in' Leparoux. Why does he need to go after RR on the turn? Because the idiot Cohen is coming up on the inside? WTF is he going to do? The threat isn't from behind. You don't have to ride as the closers dictate; there are none in this race. You can't bid on the turn and get this horse; you have to try him midstretch. Way to properly gauge a race.
