Friday night racing under the lights is great for attendance (18-24 y.o. crowd), beer sales, horses freaked out by screaming drunks and local DUI arrest stats.

Everything else, I'm not so sure about.

Of course I based that opinion on the now defunct Bay Meadows... But what does that matter, that's just an old dirt lot now.

Certainly a curious decision coming off perhaps the coldest winter in South Florida history. Lots of folks stayed away during the day time because it was just plain miserable by local standards.

Night thoroughbred racing in Florida is illegal at this point-----Frankie will try to get the law changed to suit Frankie.
