thanks kinda dumb of me to not think before I posted. Looking at the list of about 300, Buddysaint was the shortest at 11/1. Suprising that Take conntrol hasnt made the list yet. Another I was looking for that wasnt there yet was Brake Lights. I feel by the time I get there Take control will be on the list but probably shorter than the 80/1 I have set for my odds I need to make a bet this far in advance. Kinda stupid to place a bet on horses that probobly want even make the starting gate,

You can work with them on some odds. I ask to speak to the manager...Then you can mess with limits. When he was at Bally's I'd have to go that route to get certain bets down.

Take Control is 20-1 at Wynn. Brake Lights 100-1.

Take Control surprisingly wasn't on the list until after his maiden win. I was assuming he would have been listed prior to that based purely on hype. Once they added him at 50-1, which was already probably too low, he took a lot of money fairly quickly.

If you're not going until Superbowl weekend, then many of the odds will have changed by the time you arrive, especially with the Holy Bull and Lecomte already have been run. But still, it will still be early enough to find some good values.

Thanks as I expected take control moving toward the favorite. Brake lights looks betable at 100/1. Also looking at connomora the odds I found were 40/1along with Twirling Candy. Looking to make 2 or 3 $15-20 bets at 80/1 or better. Probably better off taking the $60 and investing in pk6 at a track

John Avello at Wynn probably has the best reputation for maintaining a Kentucky Derby future book. Lucky's does a very good job as well. Just beware of joints that only lower the odds on horses. If you don't see any horses above their opening line, you are getting ripped off. A good bookmaker will raise odds on horses getting no action to entice bettors.

Lucky's Racebook 2010 Kentucky Derby Futurebook updated January 12.

He always has the best Derby and BC futures in Vegas. If you want to place a bet on a horse you don't see, either ask for a manager, or for JA specifically and they will get you a line on a particular horse.

As a side note the thread about which 2-year olds you like, I tried to get uptown charlybrown 10 days ago, but couldn't get him because he wasn't in the system (Johnny wasn't there).
He showed up on the new list Tuesday at 250-1. Today, my friend went to Wynn to get some of that, and he had already dropped to 60-1!
Must have taken a lot of money to drop that far, that fast.
