Default Lo Duca

"Paul Lo Duca has been the subject of the New York tabloids as word about his pending divorce due to charges of infidelity from his wife along with rumors of a substantial gambling debt have come to light, the NY Daily News reports."-ESPN

Must be huge news today in NYC.

My brother just met him at Saratoga at some dinner for some charity. I wonder if he gambles a ton on the ponies.

I dont care for him Scuds. He argues calls too much while hes at the plate, and the irony in that is he is a catcher and is frequently the beneficiary of these bad calls on the other end. I'm glad he is on a team I dont root for.

This guy's one of my favorite players. He also used to own some horses when he played for L.A. (I think.)

If you gamble, and your wife wants a divorce, look out.Seems like he has some horses with O'NEIL.He was at HWD PK the last time the Mets were in L.A...Wife(,or more likely her attorney) going for the big kill....Adulterer...Degenerate Gambler..Next will be that he has a porno jonz.Paul got them nuts on the block.Be lucky to get 1 whole one back.Paul says the two get along well, and she isn't a Gold digger.I bet she gets Gold though. He says he has an on line account, and it's legal(no gambling debts.... period.)

Loduca, a degenerate gambler and a cheater. This guy would be great entertainment at kid's parties.

Paul Lo Duca, C NYM

News: Paul Lo Duca hit a home run Friday night in the Mets' 2-1 loss at Washington. After the game, a reporter started a question by saying, "It's certainly been a trying week for you," and Lo Doca cut him off. "Stay away from that. Stay away from that, OK? Stay away from that. Enough," Lo Doca said. Gambling allegations, adultery claims, a former Playboy model wife and misspelled e-mails from a 19-year-old woman, a perfect tabloid recipe to rip open the All-Star catcher's personal life during his first season in New York.

Analysis: Lo Duca's homer was his first since May 13. Going into the game, he had been the top hitter in the majors since July 1 -- the day after his wife filed for divorce. Lo Duca batted .413 in that span, the Elias Sports Bureau said, and clearly emerged as a leader on the team with the best record in the NL. Consider the veteran backstop a solid option even in smaller mixed leagues because of his consistent contact bat and his everyday status as the No. 2 hitter in one of the most dynamic offenses in baseball. Despite a thumb issue, Lo Duca figures to see regular duty down the stretch -- although more rest could come in late September in preparation for the postseason.

I say BFD.

He's not breaking any laws, does not appear to be a steroid juicer and plays hard (and hurt). He's not the first guy in the world to get divorced and certainly not the first who likes to play the horses a bit.

What does his personal life have to do with anything? I don't blame him for taking off a bit on that reporter who it seems is taking the easy way out of finding a real story to write about.

Ive been saying this for years, Bruce. None of our business. I'm so fine with that. We have Joe Dimagio and Mickey Mantle to thank for the current state of the sports media .
They can finally rest in peace .
