nothing wrong with that , he helped get the Dems the control last year by spending over $5mm

they then pass a record high tax and spend budget in april

why wouldn't he switch allegiance , we just can't tax people to death , wall st is over for the most part , we don't need billionares leaving to go to florida , we need serious fiscal restriant in this environment and lower taxes to get competitive again

This is a good thing as the Democrats, particularly Patterson and Smith, have proven unable to govern. Hopefully some sense can be injected into NY Government.

My only issue in this situation is one person having way too much influence over the control of the state senate, especially one that is getting that influence by lining the coffers of the senators with campaign donations.

Actually, my bigger issue is that I want Golisano to save his money so he can buy the Bills when Ralph finally passes.

Spitzer has double the approval ratings of Patterson right now. You at least have a chance at lucking into a P6, no way Patterson wins re-election. Assuming Cuomo runs he has zero chance of winning the primary.

don't worry about dave , they won't be handing out bread baksets to him when he leaves town

Our frosh senator will probably have a hard time getting the nomination as well , she'll be back in saratoga county in time for the christmas lights next year

I want to like Golisano, because we grew up in the same neighborhood and he's probably the most famous alumnus of my high school, but I just can't. He could spend some of his well-earned cash on helping out the old 'hood but instead he wastes it on pathetic political aspirations. His latest "I'm taking my tax dollars to Florida" just stinks.

I'm not sure how much national coverage this has been getting but the levels of dysfunction in the NY State Senate at this point is unbelievable. I honestly think you could leave nursery school classes unsupervised for a month and they wouldn't resort to as childish behavior as the Senators on both sides have. At this point I will actively campaign for anyone regardless of party that runs against these guys in their next elections. I want all 62 of them voted out.
