Default 5/7: Belmont (4th-9th)

Got back $505 on 2 consolations for $216 Churchill P6 play when pair of top choices failed in marathon feature Wednesday. Coming into the day down $100, the sextet result put me exactly even for the sum of the "Derby experience". But it was hard to swallow the 5 of 6 beat seeing the $33,000 return the sequence produced. As discussed at Derby Trail and on ATR, a short field of four going 11f frequently produces odd pace scenarios, and Leparoux gave the Michelle Nihei-trained winner a heady ride. The race was a good spot for the all button, but that would have strained the budget. Hope you did well...

Finally am turning attention back to New York today, though as NYRA's Andy Serling reported last night, they will be off the turf today at Belmont. With the meat of the New York season now ahead of us, need to catch up on the 'senior circuit' quickly after focusing outside the NY ovals for nearly a month.

Thx all...! That was a fun run on a day where I didn't feel like I capped that well. Nice to have ticket structure work out when the opinion was mediocre.
