Default Inspection Team to Review Churchill Downs

I'm sorry, but this is the biggest joke I have ever seen. It's so insulting that it angers me.

You dont think the "inspection" team will be fair to CD?

Honestly it is ridiculous to think that these people can come in magically "inspect" the safety levels of any track. Wanna bet that they dont ask me any questions?

The whole thing is a joke. Plus, I have yet to hear or read what the consequences are for failing to meet any of the standards.

The thing that pisses me off is that it's such a blatant publicity thing that it makes you wonder how dumb the NTRA thinks everyone is.

Uhh didn't i say that a few weeks ago after CD announced their "safety" plan? And didn't you say I was just being anti-CD? This is part of that whole PR bs campaign and very little of it isnt lip service.

I got on your case because you glossed over the part of the CD plan about the drug testing (which you later admitted was a good idea) and labeled the whole thing as a publicity stunt. I also took issue with the fact that many on here (not necessarily you) criticize CD for being horrible at PR, and then at the same time criticize their PR stunts.

And where CD's publicity stunt had at least one piece of substance, this NTRA BS is void of anything substantive, including consequences.

I still dont believe that the drug testing plan will do any real, tangible good but it's not a bad idea. The rest of this is so stupid.
