Default Let's Play Mascot Matchup

EAST
Round 1
Pittsburgh-ETSU: Panthers eat Buccaneers before they can pull their scurvy swords... Pitt
Oklahoma State-Tennessee: Cowboys are tougher than Volunteers. OSU
Florida State-Wisconsin: Badgers are slow. Seminole Indians trap them. FSU
Xavier-Portland State: Musketeers have guns, Vikings don't. Xavier
Duke-Binghamton: Bearcats can't survive in Hell. Duke
Texas-Minnesota: Cows are fat and slow but so are Gophers. Texas
Villanova-American: Wildcats eat Eagles, even in Philly. Villanova
UCLA-VCU: Rams have horns, Bears don't. VCU

Round 2
Pitt-OSU: Bullriders lasso calves. They're kind of like little Panthers. OSU
Xavier-FSU: Guns or bows and arrows? Xavier
Duke-Texas: In India, the cow is sacred. That stops the Devil. Texas
Villanova: Rams have horns, Wildcats don't.

Round 3
OSU-Xavier: Small pistols or big rifles? Xavier
Texas-VCU: In Wyoming and Montana, cowboys chase rams away from their cattle herd. Ain't no cowboys around to protect them in this matchup. VCU

Round 4
Xavier-VCU: The hunters catch the hunted. Xavier

UNC-Radford: I'm not exactly sure what a Highlander is but he has to win a fight with a bunch of smokers. Radford
LSU-Butler: Cats and Dogs? I'll take the Dogs. Butler
Illinois-Western Kentucky: Chief Illini doesn't look that tough but he should be able to beat up a fat blob. Illinois
Gonzaga-Akron: A bulldog or a rabbit? Seriously? Gonzaga
Arizona State-Temple: going to Temple wards off the Devil. Temple
Syracuse-Steven F Austin: Lumberjacks are big and tough, an Orange is, well, a fruit. SFA
Clemson-Michigan: a Tiger versus a Wolverine? Wolverines are scarier. Michigan
Oklahoma-Morgan State: Sooners are pretty good at surviving wildlife while camping. Oklahoma

Round 2
Radford-Butler: Highlanders train Bulldogs. Radford
Illinois-Gonzaga: Chief Illini gets another favorable matchup, with his pet this time. Illinois
Temple-SFA: Lumberjacks cut down trees that Owls live in. SFA
Michigan-Oklahoma: Sooners survived wildlife in the first round and do it again here. Oklahoma

Round 3
Radford-Illinois: The Highlanders stole Illini's land. Radford
SFA-Oklahoma: Lumberjacks beat up the Sooners in a fistfight. SFA

Round 4
Radford-SFA: The Lumberjacks cut down all of the Highlanders trees and build a cabin for them, it ends peacefully but the Lumberjacks advance. SFA

BYU-Texas A&M: Cougars scare farmers. BYU
Purdue-UNI: A bunch of geeks building engines or a Panther? UNI
Washington-Mississippi State: Huskies are bigger than Bulldogs. Both are good fighters, but Michael Vick says Bulldogs. MSU
Marquette-Utah State: Farmers scare away Eagles with scarecrows. Utah State
Missouri-Cornell: What is a "Big Red"? A stick of gum? Missouri
Cal-Maryland: The Bear tries his best but the Terrapin hides in his shell. The Bear gets disinterested and raids someone's campsite instead. Maryland
Memphis-Cal State Northridge: The Matadors ole' the Tigers like they do in a bullfight. CSN

Round 2
Chattanooga-BYU: Mocs poison another animal. Chattanooga
UNI-Mississippi State: Dogs and cats again! MSU
Utah State-Missouri: Farmers don't like Tigers. Missouri
Maryland-CSN: Rock, Scissors, Paper= Paper (the matador's cloth) covers rock (a turtle). CSN

Round 3
Chattanooga-MSU: Snakes are dangerous to dogs. Chattanooga
Missouri-CSN: The Matadors ole' another group of Tigers like they did in the first round. CSN

Round 4
Chattanooga-CSN: Even Matadors can't avoid getting bitten by Moccasins. Chattanooga

Louisville-Playin opponent: Cardinals fly higher than Hornets but not as high as the Eagles. We'll say the Hornets win the opening round, so Louisville advances.
Ohio State-Siena: A nut or someone representing God? Seriously? Siena
Utah-Arizona: All these years and I still don't know what a Ute is. Arizona
Wake Forest-Cleveland State: Evil people representing God versus Viking explorers. Tough call but I think God forgives them for being evil. Wake
West Virginia-Dayton: Daniel Boone shoots down a biplane. Too bad the Flyers didn't bring their B-52's. WVU
Kansas-NDSU: Bison crush Jayhawks, remember the last time Kansas faced a Bison (Bucknell) as a #3? NDSU
BC-USC: Eagles get slashed down by Trojans on their horse. USC
Michigan State-Robert Morris: Both are represented by historic settlements. Colonials had guns but Spartans had body armor. Tough call, but the body armor survives. Michigan State

Round 2
Louisville-Siena: God advances the Saints over a pretty bird. Siena
Arizona-Wake Forest: God advances the Deacons over an animal. Wake
West Virginia-NDSU: The Mountaineers herd the Bison. WVU
USC-Michigan State: Helen of Troy was married to the King of Sparta. Eventually, Troy fell when Sparta's allies rolled in hidden in a horse statue. MSU

Round 3
Siena-Wake: Good Saints advances over Evil Deacons. Siena
WVU-Mich St: Mountaineers have guns and Spartans have body armor. Body armor doesn't survive a second battle. WVU

Round 4:
Siena-WVU: The Saints lead the Mountaineers to the promised land... but get there first. Siena

Chattanooga-Siena: The Mocs try to bite but God gives the Saints another life. Siena

Championship game:
Xavier-Siena: Saints survive a bullet wound and God strikes down the Musketeers. Siena is your Mascot Champion!

My only problem with your argument stems from this matchup - Rams have curved horns, a blunt instrument, not a sharp killing one. Bears are extremely fearsome when riled up, and their claws are pretty sharp. Not that I'm partial to UCLA or anything (), but I would have given the Bruins the edge here ... Although I suppose the muskets would have ultimately gotten the bears, anyway.
