Default Another ESPN Outrage !!!

They've preempted horse racing for girls' softball ... Hungarian tiddleywinks ... and retired dentists' shuffleboard ...

... but today ... they've sunk to a new low ...

... preempting racing for a freaking speech !!!

No game ... no contest ... no competition ... just a freaking speech by Troy Aikman !!!

Remeber this one, folks .. the next time ESPN talks about their "commitment" and "coverage" of thoroughbred racing.

Words spoken from a person that suffers from terminal constipation.

And your picks are s h i t too!

Back to your cardboard box now! See you under the Cross Bronx Expressway.
I'll toss you a bagel when I drive past, but you have to be awake to catch it.

And, NO! For the 1000th time, I don't need my windshield cleaned.

it really comes down to betting......... non bettors dont consider horse racing as a sport. we always seam to think we can do this or that to get new people involved but you will never get the general public behind a wagering driven product..........except maybe poker.

Doesnt matter. So many different ways to watch racing online as well as TVG, HRTV, etc. for me to care. Cant stand Goldberg & Co. anyway. Plus I work most Saturday nights anyway, but its fun to come back and listen to people bitch.

Alysheba- You couldnt have said it better. The sport is driven by gambling, always will be.

Cant understand why anyone who wants to watch horse racing would depend on ESPN to be able to see races. If you are a fan get to the track, get to an OTB, get TVG or watch it on the computer. The focus is on major sports, when it comes to horse racing, they consider it no more important than bowling or spelling bees. Sad, but true. Look at that idiot Hank Goldberg. If they really cared about horse racing, they wouldnt hire such a clown to represent it.

I turn it on for the big races because my TV has a very large good picture and sound, better than my computer for sure. Of course you can't rely on ESPN alone because the coverage is so spotty.

I'll tell you what, the line-up of Kenny Mayne, Jerry Bailey and Randy Moss I find entertaining and informative. At least they keep any of the Hank Goldberg segments to a minimum.

In England horse racing really is the sport of kings and treated like such on TV. It's a part of every sports report, has coverage most of the day and gets as much press time as our baseball or football. You really feel like its important. Here it's a tossup between racing and tractor pulls. It's a shame but can't see it changing.

Thank God for the internet!

Default Expect this a lot!!!

They always done this when any horse racing program is schudule to be on, it's nothing new and will continue just like the past. ESPN doesn't care about horse racing and like MTV, have gotten worse with age! It's all $$$ with the "big time" sports channel.

Question: How do you fit a tv into your refrigerator box? Sure, I know it's from Rent to Own, and the extension cord stretches from Big Louie's car wash, but, Bold Fraud, it must get pretty tight in there...no?

agreed. For starters I'd like to see them get a weekly Saturday show, at least two hours in length.

Default Do something about it

Here's an e-mail address at ESPN. If enough of us take a minute and send them an e-mail and let them know how we feel.

Let's do it!

Danzig,
You're probably right. I might be over reacting to the "puffed up one".
He attacked me over absolutely nothing.
You're right, I should let it go.
Just consider the source. He's a very negative person (which I can't stand).
He never says one good thing about a horse nor posts a winner.
He only tells you who's going to lose.
And, I really have no problem saying so...as he has me on "ignore" since I called him out for his bu-ll sh-it before.
