Default PETA again...

http://www.peta.org/sea_kittens/

So fish are now to be referred to as seakittens.
And thus the following is concluded:

Many people have never stopped to think about it, but sea kittens are smart, interesting animals with their own unique personalities—just like the dogs and cats that we share our homes with. Did you know that sea kittens can learn to avoid nets by watching other sea kittens in their group and that they can recognize individual "shoal mates"? Some sea kittens gather information by eavesdropping on others, and some—such as a type of South African sea kittens that lays eggs on leaves so that they can be carried to a safe place—even use tools.

And then they put out the following fake video:

http://www.saveourcatsfromfishermen.com/

So it appears that fishing for seakittens with kittens
is...
confusing.

I like the nuclear cooling stacks and the rich white
fisherman using the cute black kittens for bait. Nice touch.
That one little cat was shivering cold. PETA should be ashamed
for using that cold little cat for propaganda.

Unbelievable BS.

These people are sicko's. How can they get away with it? 60 Minutes or 20/20 needs to get a hold of this. Maybe Fox News. This is horrendous and wrong

sea kittens?! lol omg, what a bunch of clowns.

they forgot to say that when breaded and fried in a combo of oil and butter flavored crisco, that sea kitten filets are dammed tasty. or try them on the grill.
those fried filets are especially good with some crawfish etouffe on top. speaking of which, we're going to a restaurant saturday that serves a variety of sea kittens...i can't wait!

PETA over the past 20 years has alienated a whole lot of people (thank goodness) - although realize that there are people on this board who like, support and fund PETA.

The main danger to animal ownership now is the Humane Society of the United States.

Going catfishing has taken on a whole
new meaning for me.

Found out the guy in the video who put this out
is not officially a PETA member. He was merely
selling T-shirts and giving a portion to PETA.

Attachment 1183

Catch em now, they are going fast.

Not all "Humane Societies" are associated with the Humane Society of the United States. HSUS runs no shelters, and is a lobbying group. It is the "cocktail party acceptable" PETA-clone, without the overt violence - but with the same goal. HSUS is currently funding anti-animal ownership legislation across the country.

The HSUS, years ago, used to be a good organization. It changed when Wayne Pacelle (a known anti-animal owner advocate) became it's President.
