Default It is a war

and this was very close quarters fighting.Payton, Chavez, and Bradley were struck out by KROD in the 9th.PAYTON,and BRADLEY both were sitting on the breaking ball, and he wouldn't give it to them.Scioscia came to the mound to give KROD direct instructions on how to strike Bradley out. That is very rare.He must of wanted it badly.Payton and Bradley were doing their little Rodeo/Lasso dance after the game last night(not tonight.)The division champions played like it tonight.A totally clutch throw by Rivera to cut down Kotsay at the plate(to keep him from scoring the go ahead run.)There were plays at the plate on 2 of the 3 Halo runs.Twice we had a runner from 2nd score on infield hits tonight. We were forcing it to get every run we could.Tough, tough, tough to score on Oakland, but we did it,and Gander there is your home win against the A's.You're right. It was high f'n time we beat them in our house.Actually KROD had to strike out 4 in the 9th,cuz he didn't get credit for a beautiful 3rd strike (on a 3-2 pitch)at the knees on Frank Thomas to open the inning. That hurt, but he was good enough tonight to beat them anyways. These 2 teams are putting on quite a show.Looks like the Halos found their replacement for Colon.Saunders has won twice now in fill in opportunities.Looked very good both times.Payton got to him to tie up the game.Damn Payton n' Bradley have been hurting us,but KROD THREW ICE WATER on them in the 9th.Halos are tough when they have to be.They are in one tough fight here. They're gunna be hacking n' clawing at each other all the way 'til the finish.

Shields blows another one for the Halos.Classic headcase.Tie game in the 8th,and he gives up a walk,2hits,and a wild pitch. Then, after the A's get the 1 run lead ,he strikes out the side.We are simply not as good defensively as this team. They killed us twice in this series on huge plays by Swisher, and Kotsay making plays on the foul line(BALLS THAT WOULD HAVE SCORED RUNS.)We,on the other hand ,have Kendrick at 1st,and he is struggling with that right now. That cost us a run today. We have to have him in the line-up though(cuz he is a good hitter.)We had 3 errors to their none. The A'S can be beat, but you have to play your best.We have now got 5 starting pitchers(Lackey,Santana,Weaver,Escobar, and Saunders) that are healthy and pitching well. You can't blame them for this f'n headcase Shields costing the team victories. These are basically playoff quality games, and he just is the choker of the bunch.Nice to see the A's leave.Be nice to see a few fastballs for a change. They are expert junk throwers.Gunna have to hit that sht in September. The A's are not without their headcases. They have 2 peas in the pod on that team(Bradley n' Payton.)Payton went totally nuts when he was hit by Shields in the knuckles(while swinging.)Hard to tell whether it hit him(for sure it hit the bat.)Simply went nuts with Black Rage(like we have seen so many times with his buddy Bradley, and for instance Carl Everett.)To me,those two are tickin' timebombs.I mean you can only go so long without those 2 melting down at the wrong time with somebody on their own team. They both have a huge chip on their shoulder, and are looking to blast off.I mean they don't need something to brew a while before they pop that top either.Ond good inside pitch from a pitcher your teammates just got hits off of? Bradley went nuts Monday Night at one obvious 3rd strike call. A headcase is a headcase. We got 1,and they sure do have 2.I mean the A's are doing well, and these guys are having their tantrums, and racist outbursts. Can you imagine if they lose 3 or 4 in a row around the 20th of September. That lid is gunna be pretty loose on those 2.I suggest ya pay the $15.00 for the month of September (to watch on MLB.Com)

"When you get hit in the hand and you feel like it's broken, you react," said Payton, who will have X-rays taken. "The anger was more toward the fact my hand might be broken. I know [Shields] is a good guy."

See,this guy is a nut indeed.Today,he would have tried(and he did try to get to him)to take Shields' head off. He,and Bradley just react to situations as if they are wild animals.Macha has his hands full try to keep those 2 from killing somebody. If they weren't playing ball, they would be in prison. I don't know how the pitch can be that bush if he is swingin' at it.

Payton is psychotic. He swung at that pitch. Sure I understand he was in a ton of pain. Still a very stupid way to react. This is baseball not white trash caged fighting.

These games are close every time. 17 of their last 33 meetings decided by a single run. Should be a great September.

Gander,to be honest, the A's pitching(right now) is too tough for us to beat them the way we need to.Just too good.Like White Sox last year in the post.I don't care who you are,you weren't gunna hit Haren on Monday in the 8th,or 9th inning.Same goes for Street yesterday. Will they pitch that way late in September? I hope not.I know they have an achilles heel. That is those 2 peas in the pod called Bradley and Payton.THOSE TWO ARE HAVING TANTRUMS WHILE:

1)They are each hitting well.

2)The team is winning.

O.K.? They fly right off the handle (with Black Rage) at the slightest stimuli.Neither one is particularly thrilled with White folks. They each have a huge chip on their shoulder. Now,picture them going into personal hitting slumps, and the team losing 4 in a row.I can tell you exactly what will happen. They will eat their own.Mark my words, these 2 are gunna be a problem in their own clubhouse (sooner or later.)The Halo organization would never put up with those 2.The A's took a big gamble on those 2 behaving, but hope is often an immature emotion, and these 2 guys just react like wild animals. There is little self-control involved.

The Angels fell asleep when that guy from the A's scored all the way from 2nd base on a past ball (3rd strike) from the catcher, where he had to throw the guy out at 1st but in the process, forgot about that guy hustling from 2nd. That was genius baserunning and a very costly brain fart for the Angels.

Excuse me for not using names, I did not see the game just the highlights. I had no idea they were playing that early yesterday.

Yea Kendrick doesn't really know how to play 1st base.AT 1ST GLANCE,THOSE DEFENSIVE ERRORS COST US THE GAME,but honestly I don't think Shields would have just given up 1 run.If we were ahead by a run,he was gunna give up 2.Ya know? A headcase. After he gave up the lead,he turned into Nolan f'n Ryan, and struck out the side(with men on 2nd and 3rd.)Not a thing wrong with his stuff. His head is bad.

Actually, they have another slight riff on the A's.The manager said publicly that he likes being able to bring his closer(STREET)in for 2 innings "despite what the bullpen coach thinks."

Street did get hit for 3 runs while going 2 innings on Sunday. He didn't lose a thing going 2 innings yesterday though.Nothing.He has blown quite a few when asked to go 2 innings.
