He gave it another great run to the wire. Zito has his barn pumped.

I think I've found my successor to employ the "all- Drift- all" strategy with.

he's definately turning into a Perfect Drift type, however for the connections, a lot of money to be made for 2nd places in grade 1's.

He earned my respect today... which is something he never had. Congrats to the connections.

Sun King gave the winner more that what he wanted to see. The winner is a 10f horse and he should be glad todays race was 9f, because Sun King was all over him.

sun king is an excellent horse that nearly beat two of the best horses in the world. one is unbeatable at belmont and the other is well, invasor. The Uruguayan Triple Crown Winner and Horse of the Year. invasor has 3 grade 1 wins in a row now.

I didn't say that he isn't an excellent horse. He just seems to have a case of seconditis as does Perfect Drift. Nothing wrong with that..

While I admit to shortchanging Sun King for most of the year, all I'm saying is there is money to be made by backwheeling him in the 2 & 3 spots. Drift wins an occasional race himself and I love that horse, but the smart play is underneath.

I wish I Sun King would have won becuase I had a win bet and had the tri no matter if Sun King or Invisor won...oh well still hit it but would have paid more with Sun King on top...never like Sun King much especially his 3 year old season but now I have some new found respect for him.

SHould note - Sun King was getting weight from Invasor, since the Whitney is a Handicap. The Woodward is a stkakes - is it an allowance stakes or a wfa stakes? Either way, the weights will shift, possibly not in Sun King's favor.

Yeah, but a few pounds here and there really aren't a huge difference on the flat. If were talking steeplechase, I think I would be more inclined to agree with that.
