Default Season Ending Golf

Hey Kev,

Nice finish by Love this week. Happy for him after trouble the last couple of years.

My boy gets his card for another year finishing 118th. He still needs to work hard mentally to withstand unusual weather though.

Yeah...very happy for DLIII. That gives him his 20th career win and now a lifetime exemption.

Overton toughed it out playing 10 days after his appendectomy. I will be interested to see what action, if any, the PGA Tour takes in regards to his taking Percocet, which is one of the banned substances under the new drug policy. I know he applied for an emergency Theraputic Use Exemption. I do hope they choose to dismiss it, as Jeff was the one that came forward with the information. He clearly could have not said anything and hoped that he wouldn't get tested that week, but he did he right thing and volunteered the information to the Tour.

2 Glove Tommy Gainey made almost a half a mil yesterday. Gets him into top 150 on the money list(only had made 65k before yesterday .) Does that get him conditional status(gets into some lesser tournaments next year,) or what? Same for Chris Dimarco. I don't know how he can go from getting 2nd in majors to not getting in the top 125.

Tommy 2 Glove will have limited status on the PGA Tour next year, but more importantly it means he gets to skip every round of Q-school except the last, where he can improve his status even more. At worst he will have plenty of Nationwide events available to him next year.

I couldn't do that, I would tear my hands up....My hands are sore after one round

I think it has to do with my grip, I don't grip the damn club right (I don't lock my pinkie, because it is very loose within my grip and I lose the darn club when I swing) and I have all 10 fingers on the club....

This was just plain stupid on so many levels. I realize what was on the line here Kev with the season ending and his card for next year but if he ruins the operative sight by swinging viciously at a drive, and bleeds to death the surgeon will be blamed when it is the patient deciding what activity he can participate in.

If the surgeon okay'd this he will be contacted by his local medical board to inform him to come explain as his license is being reviewed. Sometimes heroic is another way of saying stupid.

10 finger grip is actually quite common if you have short, stubby fingers.

"I guess it supposedly takes four to six weeks to fully heal from it, but the doctor told me about 10 to 14 days after, I should be able to start swinging a driver normally," Overton said.

Put a value on it Kev. The dollar value next year. The difference between top 125(keeping your card,) and coming in #130 on the money list(going into next year. ) Say he comes in #100 on the money list next year(which is realistic since he kept his card.) I understand what Doc is saying, but put a dollar value up. If he came #130, and missed at tour school in December.

NOT counting potential prize money earned....I would say conservatively in the 170-200K range. That is just taking into effect endorsement dollars, Pro-Am money, outings, etc...

#100 this year on the PGA Tour made just over $1,040,000 in official prize money. Your #1 money leader on the Nationwide tour this year made LESS than $450,000 in official prize money.

So...there is a difference of almost $600k ALONE in prize money. Again...that doesn't include endoresments and all the other freebies and perks from playing on the PGA Tour. I would say in all reality...it is close to $1,000,000 total

DiMarco battled shoulder (had surgery on it last Sept.) and wrists problems all year. Virtually impossible to play good golf with wrists problems.

Edit* his wrists problems didn't come into affect until mid-way through the year.

He wouldn't make 450k on the Nationwide huh? Maybe 200K.
