Default 8/29: Saratoga (Day 33-Twilight Card)

Another challenging Spa card and the Del Mar double Carryover provided fodder for a very pleasant Thursday. While the monster scores proved elusive, there were some solid results on a day where unearthing the big surprises resulted in outrageous returns. Lukas' $100.00 SAR 9th race winner keyed a $7,350 P4, while Wake Up Maggie ($33.80, DMR 7th) tripped the $371,000 sextet mutuel.

I wasn't close on those, but Del Mar provided a couple of very nice exotic hits during the evening session with the 4th/5th races bringing in $60 and $120 bingos while a key of Texas Devil in the nightcAp resulted in a $220 triple. Back at the Spa, the 7th race late scratch of Dose of Reality left Easy Ashley an easy winner, and keying her resulted in a $260 tri that covered the days misfires. Hope you did well! Twilight card should be fun this afternoon. Steve Crist and Garrett Gomez are among my guests on tonight's penultimate Spa broadcast...

Default The Case for Crimson Comic in the 1st

Lightly raced 3 yo, well bred with some turf pedigree

seems to like running longer, nice recent work, second try on turf with some trouble in first start

main reason, Pletcher Winstar deciding not a stakes horse placing for quick sale.

Steve, you need more rest. You started with the 3rd race, picks wise. Then you skipped the 5th entirely. Now watch, the way you've been going you will probably win. I can't wait to travel up to Toga for one more great day of racing.

Some late 4 attempts here, totaling $100. Love Hill's Big Jerome (unplayable at odds for win)in the 'cap, but may key him on top in heavy exacta. WIll have to look at will-pays first. Will be on the road for last 2 races, hopefully Im still alive.

1,7,8,9 / 1,5 / ALL / 6
1,2,8 / 5,8 / 2,6,7 / 6,10
8,9 / 1,4,5,7 / 2,5 / 6

Best of luck to those playing today!!
