This usually means that he passed from a malignant dysrhythmia or ventricular fibrillation where thankfully there is very little pain or suffering as the heart functionally stops sending blood forward to the rest of the body. Patients usually pass out as the brain quickly shuts down without oxygenated blood. Referred to in Critical Care as sudden death or a code. Of all the ways to go to God this is how you want your loved ones to pass.....without agony, suffering or breathlessness. I loved listening to Skip on TBS as the Braves were always on when I was a kid. An easy voice to listen to who never seemed to say the things that ruined the flow of a game. A class talent. He'll be missed. http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-cardiac-dysrhythmia.htm |
