Stopped at the Village Pizzeria in East Galway ( http://www.villagepizzeria.com ) last night after the movie, the owner Joe cashed on the carryover with a $72 ticket....good ending for a tough meeting there he said.

It's amazing how many times (in like a 5-7 horse field) the horse you think has no shot ........does have a shot.I think quite a few people(myself included) would have thought about taking "all minus the Lukas " in the 8th race. It's almost like the trainer knows exactly what you're thinking, and put her in there because you think she has "no shot."I say good riddance to that meet. Most people never had a chance in that p6.You can study it all night, but if you can't get the winner of the 7th or 8th on a ticket...you're dead. The winner of the 7th was easier than the winner of the 8th,but not a whole lot. You could get it going deep, but then you have to go leaner in the 6th,9th,and 10th.I don't think any of those were singles.Lets face it,the winner of the 6th won, because other guys didn't do their job right.I wonder how many people lost out on about 25k because of somebody getting a horse in trouble?
