Default No offtrack betting on Churchill?

http://news.bloodhorse.com/viewstory.asp?id=44674 Story in the Bloodhorse about the possibilty of no Churchill on betting platforms including Twinspires and Expressbet. I , for one, am tired of this constant threat to being able to bet. It boggles the mind that these intersts can't agree on a way to take our money. As usual the bettor is the biggest loser.

I think you're safe at your local track (at least, for now). The article said, "they will not consent to any sale to any account wagering company, unless that account wagering company has a signed licensing agreement with THG." I think "account wagering company" means online betting sites. "If things hold course, CDI’s Twinspires.com platforms and MEC’s XpressBet.com won’t have rights to the Churchill meet."

All this does is lower the handle. What a great idea!!! With KE down almost 20% the first week supposedly due to poly these guys want to push the envelope on stupidity. Isn't Twin Spires affiliated with CD?

I don't think the Kee situation is due to poly.... I think it's totally due to the economy, which is why you see about 15-20% drop AT EVERY TRACK.

Yes, twinspires is owned by CDI (Churchill Downs Inc) that owns, CD, AP, FG, CRC
