Thanks so much for the heads up. John Henry was one of my few racehorse heroes. I love watching the old footage of him. I went to school in So. Cal and was so disappointed that he wasn't able to make the '83 Big 'Cap. Fortunately I had the pleasure and honor of seeing him run person in the Golden Gate Handicap in 1984. I will never forget it. I remember they schooled him in the Golden Gate paddock the day before the race. On his was back to the stables, he would stop and pose while fans took pictures. I have never seen a horse do that before. He knew exactly what was going on. I still have the John Henry t-shirt the GGF gave away. I will be watching the HRTV special.

A movie is being made for next year. Sounds very interesting. I believe they said the guy who originally sold him was devastated by his success and started using and drinking and once they retired him he was able to just quit the and drinking. Tons of interesting stories around this horse.
