Default Where are the Arlington entries?

I thought they were supposed to be up today...does anyone know anything different? They're usually up by 1:00 PM CDT.

Pretty shitty card for Million Day. The 6th and 7th look like the best wagering opportunities.

It will be soft, suppose to rain tomorrow and then dry Friday/Saturday.

What is surprising is that they are running 4 turf races before the Million (6 total), that, has never happened since I have been alive. No one usually touches the turf until the Beverely D, then the Million, then the Secretariat.

If I had to guess, they will pull the 4th race (Illinois Allowance race) off the turf and put it on Polyturf

Wow. I figured the Sea O'Erin would be the only other one....what's up with using it three other times before the big ones?

I didn't know that was going to happen.

Beverely D is always before the Million, they play around with the Secretariat but the last couple years it has been after the Million. My guess it that they are trying to get graded status for the Sea O' Erin ( I think it was graded years ago). It is a great prep for the BC Mile and could start to attract some decent horses if it became graded.

The only reason to move it to Million Day and is a nice addition. Would love to see Fort Prado win and consider the BC Mile, would be awesome.

And Scav -- you're totally right.

A weak card compared to some from Million days past.

No Smart Deb, no Cigar, but we are treated to a 35K claimer, an 18K claimer, and a statebred entry level turf allowance with the usual suspects taking turns trying to accidentally win and somehow clear the condition.

Softer ground the better for Doctor Dino. Just not sure if he is classy enough to win, although on his last run behind Shadow Gate, he has every chance with an in form jockey booked.

Is Arlington a hard track to ride (as long as your name isn't Jamie Spencer)

don't know about that one. but if it comes up on the soft side I wonder how horses that have been racing on the west coast turf will take to it.
Like After Market or Citronnade.

Interesting too because she's got Jennie R. to deal with up front on Saturday, and it appears from the past that Jennie R. is going to be a bit happier up front with softer ground.

Why in the world would Arlington not have an all stakes P4?

She will laugh in the face of Jennie R. (I hope anyway)

i think Citronnade is awesome, but the turf is deeper and gives me a little pause. i wouldn't be too worried about anyone giving her trouble so much on the front end, I mean she has just laughed at the competition recently, no one has been able to lay a glove on her. but 1 3/16 on a deeper course? I'm keeping my mind open at the moment. Lady Of Venice also ran out of her mind last time on first lasix. I also don't know yet how to rate Irridescense but I have to give her a look as well.

Not that it probably wouldn't make it that high anyway, but should make it a bit more interesting...
