Default Coolmore/Ballydoyle Silks

Anyone know how they choose who wears which ones?

Is there a first string/second string pecking order?

Or is it all about the ownership? (magnier, tabor, etc...)

The silks everyone remembers as Coolmore are the navy silks, which are actually under the name of Sue Magnier (John's wife). Some are just owned by Michael Tabor (orange and blue silks) and some are just owned by Derrick Smith (purple and white silks). They are all under the Coolmore name, however.

When the horse is down as owned by one or more of those people, the person who's name is first has the horse to run in their silks (i think).

If Magnier has more than one horse in the race, the first string will carry the all Navy silks, and the second string will carry all Pink silks (like Excellent Art did at Royal Ascot).
