Default Los AL

See I dont want the wagering to ever stop. So I am taking a stab at Los Al and the Quarter Horses (dear lord help me).

Guaranteed $75k pick 4 which is good I guess.

Race 1

Leg A - all (9) - well OK this is nice. The 8 won at 24-1. Nice way to start the early pick 4.
Leg B - 3 - well we got the 3 home at 3/5.
Leg C - 1-2-5-6 - got the 2 home at 2-1.
Leg D - 3-5-6-7-8 - got the 3 home at 12-1 odds. overlay of the day. he was m/l 9/2

$180

One--I am new at Quarters. I had a friend give me a crash course this weekend. So I am learning here. Do you have any advice, angles, etc etc that will help me at Los Al?

Yes I agree-ha ha. The 5 would pay ~$2,190.00. The lowest payout is to the 8 and it is ~$348.00.

Going to play a saver bet in race 4 at Los Al.

$60 to win on the 4. My total investment into this is $240.00.

Well the pick 4 paid $1,370.00 for the $1. That is a profit of $1,110.00.

That is the only thing I can figure. But I don't know why it would have affected the 3 horse. Should have only affected the 8 horse.

What the heck, lets try Mountaineer race 9. I didn't handicap the race at all. I just now bought the PP's.

Race 9

Man this 1 horse is getting crushed. He was m/l 6-1 and now is 2-1. I can't see why this horse is getting bet down. I know he is taking a drop in class but he isn't even coming close in his races.

What the heck was that. How on earth did that 6 horse come back to win this race. UNREAL. I thought I was in line for a nice exacta.

Well I guess I am done. A little over $600 in profit isn't too bad at all.

I really want to figure the Quarters out, but I have never had any luck. I am going to the All American this year, mostly just for what is supposed to be a unique experience, but I don't know how much I will be the races...
