I'm a little choked up right now. Got the shakes.

For the most part he has been pretty darn bad for a few years. His call a year or two ago of the West Virginia Derby (I think that was the race) is the single worst race call I have ever heard.
However, he was decent enough in his prime...and he had a couple good Derby calls in his day. For example, I always liked his 1997 "and here comes THE CAPTAIN!" call for Captain Bodgit flying at Silver Charm.
I am sure he is probably a little sad about it, but how many people really listen to the race on the radio anyway?
