Default Whew, that was close!

Haley and Chris S.....I thought, as did Simon, that he'd go but you never know!

Honestly? It should have been Haley. Granted Haley did better on Tuesday night, but I think Chris S. is the better singer of the two.

I do like Haley though, but I get angry when they sing Cyndi.

I say JORDIN should be the next American Idol though. The finale should be Jordin and Blake.

That was another week where I just didn't care who went home. Any of those three should be going home in short order anyway, so it's just a matter of who goes which time.

Haley would need to perform like she did two weeks ago every week from here out to even stand the slightest chance of making the top few, and Phil would have to....well, Phil sucks so he'll be gone soon no matter what he does.

I was figuring out last night about how Sanjaya's luck will run out, if for no reason but the mathematical reasons behind it. It's easier for him to skate by in these weeks with ten performers, because it takes less votes to get by. That's why some of the bad people can survive what seems like far too many rounds. He'll have a problem when we get to seven performers or six, because now instead of needing, say 1.5 million votes to stick around, he will need 4 million votes. And then the next week he will need 6 million votes.

Obviously my numbers are just guesstimates, but you've got to remember that the people who are "voting for the worst" are already voting, their numbers are not going to grow exponentially over the next few weeks. While their votes (coupled with the little girls who actually like the kid) are enough to get him by now, they won't be enough to get him by when those total 30-35 million votes are only being split between five or six people.

So that is why I'm not worried about him, because while he may not leave in the order he should have left in, he won't win. Everyone who left wasn't going to win anyway, so it's really all irrelevant when they leave, just so long as they do.

Brian, I pretty much agree, Sanjaya has a base composed of Stern, Votefortheworst and young girls...this will probably get him into the top 5. The sad thing is that there will be at least one or two folks leaving way too early...Haley should not have been that close to leaving (bottom 3, they didn't make it clear that Phil was 3rd from bottom or just sent back at random). I agreed that Chris S deserved to go...I might even accept Sanjaya staying based on Chris S's awful performance. This next week, Haley obviously needs a big performance...her, Phil and probably Chris R. will be at risk. Chris R. went from second lowest to out of bottom three...don't know how to take that? One has to assume that Melinda, LaKisha and Jordin are safe along with Blake (despite the fact that I think he's a fraud)...Gina was outstanding this week but could be at risk with an off week. The Sanjaya thing is hard to figure...I read sites where he's a god, Fox probably is shaking their heads...do they want him to stay or go? If he's this popular (and this easy to make fun of) then perhaps they will laugh all the way to the bank after all!

"fewer" votes, not "less" votes.

See? I told you I read your AI summaries religiously.

And I know that too, which really grinds my gears. I tend to be far less accurate when I'm typing while on a call at work
