Default Gulfstream, 3-24

Once again, with all the focus on Turfway's Polytrack, thought it would be a good idea to take on Gulfstream:

Race 1: #4 Love Snucks, stumbled at start in last, previous was very fast, haven't checked yet, is Hills still 0-fer the meet? #3 First by Five, shortens up, dangerous... #2 Cuties Cloud, team Graci, and #5 Hope to Dance, both solid, chance to hit board at prices..#'s 6 & 7, both have isolated tops that could win this, but not for me!

Race 2: #4 Northern Linkage, stretches out, but 2 of last 3 races would be good enough here...#2 Successful Return, gets the rail, a little slow coming in, but has a nice pattern, should improve.

Race 3: #6 My Lipstick, getting weight from the field due to Cardoso, nice pattern coming in...#7 Seattle Ice is fastest, but shows a previous reaction to most recent number...#5 Howdy Partner, dangerous for Zaidie, but seems better suited for sprinting.

Race 4: #2 Big Booster, probable favorite makes first start for Walder, looks strong...#4 Sir Jackie, makes first start for Klesaris, turf to dirt, great closer... #1 Letterman's Humor, and #3 Itsawonderful Life, are longshots to use underneath.

Race 5: Obviously assuming they will be on the turf today, #1 T Harry, makes first start for Pino, coming of deceptively good race...#8 Ballet Fever, solid pattern, should run well...#6 Dukes Flying, comes off a competitive dirt fig, switches back to turf..#4 Vorhees Ballad, and #7 Scotts Time, both fit with these.

Race 6: Evenly matched $10,000 claimer, #3 Jumpin Jazz Man, comes off a reaction when wheeled back quickly, has more rest for this, should improve...#1a Legacy's Honor, #5 Doctor Voodoo, and #7 Refinery Road, all solid, none would be a surprise...#2 Lively Voyage, ran big last Saturday, don't like him coming back in 1 week.

Race 7: contentious Turf Stakes, #3 Storm in May is the big name, will probably be overbet.. going with #6 Soldiers Dancer, solid and fast.. and #2 Duveen, Romans has different horse since switch to turf, continues to improve...nothing wrong with #5 Brainy Benny or #7 Brooklyns Smart.

Race 8: This is one tough race, very little separating 10 of the 12 horses in here. 2 longshots that stand out to me are #2 Dragon Fi, and #10 Zambezi Warrior...#9 Dr Googles Boogles, and #12 Winstrella, both dangerous, but likely favorites. #1 Andolini, 2nd start for Motion, and #5 Ourtimetodance, 1st start for Attfield, are interesting... like I said, this one is TOUGH!

Race 9: Turf allowance, the standout is #5 Saratog Saint, nice spacing for this, and last 2 were excellent...2B Trueheart, 2 nice turf sprints leading up to the stretchout today...#1 Bedford Falls, comes in off very nice dirt race, but that seems to be his better surface...using #4, #7 and #7 underneath. edit: 2b Trueheart scratched

Race 10: Noticed that some think #7 Pilates should be a single in here, can win, but don't think singling is good idea...#1 Sweeten with Gold, improving every start at 3 and gets the rail...#3 Tift, Breen shipper gets lasix, dangerous... #8 Haventgotmywings, should improve 2nd out for Romans, although dropping into a claimer is suspicious.

As always, good luck to all, and may your wagering be as good as your capping, or better!!

Ah don't know.

I think I spot a few potential "passed by tiring rivals " in there.

Just noticed the typo, you'll have to take my word for it that I meant using the 4,7, and 8; as opposed to 4, 7 and 7. The 8 went off 40-1, ran 2nd, and yes I cashed the exacta and tri (although for far less than I should have played it)... All the scratches yesterday really screwed up the odds.. short fields offered far less value than first expected. Overall an OK day, not great but better than recent results.

Not playing today. Unlike Steve, who's great everyday, I only have the energy to handicap once a week. Will be back at it next Saturday for FL Derby card.
