Default Jara's Whip

It looked to me as if it hit Wanderin Boy in the head at the 3/16th pole of the Whitney. Did anyone else notice this?

Javy would know if his horse was hit but it didnt effect the race at all. Speaking of Jara he has wonderful control of the whip especially switching hands and when he hits his horse it is very effective. Don't know if anyone else noticed ths too.

When he switched to his left hand, he hit Wanderin Boy in the head. Did anyone ask Javy if his horse was hit? Suspect Zito might be interested in the answer.

if he had any idea that wanderin boy was hit, no doubt he'd have claimed foul immediately.

He had no horse anyways. If he did he would have been long gone before Invasor got along side him. Moot point. I bet the Wanderin Boy.

I thought I saw that during the race. After looking at the replay it looks almost a certainty. I was waiting for an objection or inquiry but I think since Wanderin Boy was going backwards they did not make a claim.

Crazy not to make a claim here by Castellano if this is the case. Zito has two horses in the race - Wanderin Boy and Sun King. IF Jara's whip aboard winner Invasor hits Wanderin Boy, past steward rulings (except at DelMar) indicate that the stewards COULD and probably SHOULD disqualify the winner whether or not Wanderin Boy is moving backwards at the time or not, which would lift Zito's other horse - Sun King - to the win. If Wanderin Boy was indeed struck, this could be a $300,000 mistake by Castellano for Zito...

If I had a horse in the race and it was hit I would insist on a foul claim by my jock. Let the stewards decide but I would not appreciate my horse getting hit under any circumstances.

It may have been just an illusion. Wanderin Boys head jerked over when Jara went to the whip. It may be that the head move was caused by the rider and that there was no actual contact.

What race was it, maybe last year's Gotham, where Pavo got wacked in the head with the whip and was moved up as a result?

I have never seen a horse moved up only horses moved down and thus moving others up accordingly.
