You don't have a Constitutionally guaranteed right to a bank account or an alcoholic drink, that's the big deal. That person quoted in the local paper clearly didn't pay attention in Social Studies.
The right to vote is just that, a right. It's not a privilege; it's a right guaranteed to all Americans 18 and older. Anything that makes voting harder, including obtaining a picture ID, violates that right.
