What ever happened to MLB experimenting with QuesTec? Things seem worse with greater variability in the strike zone from umpire to umpire.
Seems like as long as the umpires union answers to nobody, intelligent compromises like the tennis people have can never be used.

Giving a manager so many "tennis like" challenges a game for ball and strike calls wouldn't add all that much time to a game since the tennis version seems to be over in 20 secs and would force these umps to adjust these bad strike zones or be embarassed nightly . The present system has no incentive for the umps to improve.
