Hardily or hardly? He comes off as grumpy on ATR w/Steve. I respect his handicapping skills and his work with NYRA. His knowledge of the game is not something I doubt just his demeanor. Harvey Pack in his book "May the horse be with you" gives him props even early on in his NYRA career.
