No on the family, yes on the mortgage, though I knew better than to tie myself to a mortgage of 4K (it was 2700 though I lived in NJ so my 7K a year in property taxes made up most of the difference). 5 days a week of labor and 4 nights a week in kitchens actually pays pretty well believe it or not. Got to come home to my degrees every night too.
