The risk is never worth the reward. I forget how long ago it was,maybe 10 or twenty years, but there was an entry in NY in a graded stakes (Mother Goose ?) which ran off the board in a short field.

The Russel Road thing was insane,horse was off for two months with an outside post in an eight horse field.
