If he invites her, that means he has to entertain her for the life of the party. Plus he will have to answer all kinds of questions from the family that he probably doesn't want to. Also using the Drigs logic, he will have to kick in some more money to pay for her food and drinks. It's a lose, lose, lose situation. He's already a lock. All he would be doing is jepordizing a sure thing.
