I am a strict isolationist. I don't believe a country $10 trillion in debt that will be running a $2 trillion deficit in 2009 should give a nickel to neanderthal countries like Egypt and Israel. You are right. We should just pull out all of our intelligence gatherers and our military presence from the region. Let them go lawless for a decade or so, build up another Afghanistan or two. That'll end well.
The fact remains Chris, that we are not the only country in the world believe it or not. You, being Christopher Columbus, the world traveler, should realize this. Sometimes the crap that happens abroad has as much affect on the US as the domestic stuff, sometimes more. Are we to just look the other way??? I sure as $hit hope we wouldnt.
