I'd love to have a barn full of them, no question. I give credit to her for picking out a horse like that, snagging him for $9k, bringing him along, etc. However, that is a far stretch from being a "great trainer" and all of the other claims that came along with this. I don't have anything against Jamie Sanders. She's a new, on her own trainer, and I wish her all the best.
However, she is still a 2% trainer, and that more speaks to her current "abilities" and her results than the results of this colt. Let's look at how many others she selected, bought, etc. Let's look at how the rest of those have done. Now, no offense, however, I don't think we have to look too far -- she's won two races all year long.
You have to look at this in the big picture.
