I thought the same; or at least I should have used it as some sort of joke.
For example:
He should have won the Best Ought to Be Turned Out (to a farm) Award.
The silver lining in this utter humiliation is that based on the display of raw speed, McPeek might cut the horse back to a sprint at some point.
