Belmont grass races stay ON THE TURF today..

Bigsmc 06-23-2010 07:55 AM

That 4th race at Hollywood is about as tricky a 5 horse field as you are going to find. With 3 or 4 of them seemingly needing the lead, I think it becomes a real chess match with the jocks.

Agreed Mike. That's why I keep coming back to Dumaani. Appears guaranteed to get a pace into which he can close.. The worst part of this race is that the syndicates will 'buy' it, so you're compelled to stand somewhat narrow if you're on any kind of budget. Very slippery spot.

Exactly where I am at right now, singling Dumaani, and it doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy.

Steve, I'm not the greatest math wizard, but the way you have your Belmont pick four listed, shouldn't it be a $72 play rather than $54

rg,

Thx.. Fixed. I had changed from a 2x3x3x3 play and forgot to adjust the price.

Good luck today...!

Oy vey.. What a mess. First the Late SCR because All Zipped Up won't move, and then Left Tee takes a bad step and is pulled up...

Holy Ego wires the thing, so those that SCR'd with the Serpe get the rare substitute winner under post time favorite rule...

Kasept 06-23-2010 06:18 PM

Wow.. Suddenly this P6 could go to Thursday. Pays to these only...

5 pays $130.7k
10 pays $81.7k
15 pays $108.9k

Pool was $738k!

SCUDSBROTHER 06-23-2010 06:52 PM

Last race was run on concrete. Could of run around again, and nothing would of been able to move up. Look at the Justice horse. Horse can't get anywhere near contention. At HWD, AT THIS LEVEL, that Horse usually finishes within 3-4 lengths of the winner. He couldn't get any position at all on that track. You'd think people would notice that. He's the track quality control tool. He isn't good for much, but he is real good at that task.
