Remember him?

This year was the first year I really got into following the Derby trail and this was the first horse that stood out for me after a nice win at CD. Hope he runs well.

Where's he been? He's still eligible for NW1x?

I think that was the colt that traded allowances with Friesan Fire prior to the main Louisiana Derby preps.

IIRC, he was scratched from a race after being found lame in a hind leg. As if by magic, he was suddenly better within days and re-entered. Not surprisingly, he ran poorly.

I think he runs in Alysheba's silks, too.

I remember from Steve's show he was stablemates with Silver City.

He actually was entered in an allowance race in December that was ultimately won by Uno Mas with Friesan Fire finishing second. He was scratched out of that because of the injury and wound up running up the track in the Lecomte and Risen Star.

I remember when he walked into the paddock for his 2nd start at CD.
Mike Maker turned and said 'I didn't know Curlin was running in this maiden race.'

He sure looked the part.

Boy Futuristic sure has gone on to have a great Maiden career.(2nd place finisher)
He was dropped to the bottom this past Saturday at CD.
Where he went off as the Fav for the 6th time in his 11 career maiden starts, and lost.
