Want to get into the Horse Business-Help Wanted at Belmont

Due to the immigration crackdown, if you want to get into the horse business this fall will probably be a good chance if you live in NY. They are expecting a shortage of workers at Belmont. They screw you on the license fees but some trainers might even pay for the license for you. Pay sucks, usually $225-$300 for entry level hotwalkers but everyone starts at the bottom.

Just show up at the gate off Hempstead Turnpike next week (Wed/Thurs) and you should be able to find something. 5:30am is usually a good time. If you have a certain trainer you would like to work for sometimes you can just walk in and ask around.

Good luck.

What happened to you Pillowpants, mom and dad didn't pay any attention to you as a kid?

Believe it or not the business that you gamble on requires workers to keep it going.

Races wouldn't run with out the crew on the backside, and they, NYRA treats them like ELMO.
