Touché. I agree with your last sentence 100%. Sometimes you let your emotions gets a little defensive after a loss like today. I meant no hard feelings this evening, just letting out some frustration

Thank you! Their pretty convinced she's where she needs to be. She's been moving forward from each of her previous turf races (until today of coarse). However, We feel she can grind it out much better on the turf rather than on the dirt.

Retards manning the website I think, you are right it was a mile and a quarter last time at SA as is tradition anywhere they can run that distance. If they can't they go 11F. I happen to prefer the 10F for the F&M's.

On a firm turf, Pure Clan will humble Backseat Rhythm next time they meet.

Am I the only person on the planet who saw that race and thought Pure Clan ran only for about 100 yards in the entire race?

I thought for most of the race she was having some difficulty with the turf and expected her to run fifth, especially towards the early and middle parts of the race. I couldn't believe it when suddenly she was in second place at the wire.

Agree alot of the comments above, I don't think there's much to choose between PC & BR, however I think Ariege may turn out the best of the 3 in the long run, like her alot whether it's poly or grass. Certainly she belongs with these.

I think she's a very nice horse but its tough to imagine that distance is not a problem for this filly. She looks to be at her best at a mile and if I were in the IEAH camp I'd look to shorten her up and go to the F&M Sprint. She's obviously proven synthetics are no issue.

That's a question mark, what gives her a chance is she is out of Kostroma, a very good filly that won the Beverley D. No doubt about her versatility though and she does own a grade 1 already.

At first glance, this appears to be uncontroversial. Clearly, she's very talented at up to a mile; probably as good as any filly in the country.

Yet, if you go back and watch yesterday's race, I believe you'd agree that pretty much no filly, including Pure Clan and Backseat Rhythm, would've been able to win with the trip that Ariege got. The way the race played out, she just provided one additional move in a last move race. A more patient ride has her moving WITH rather than before BR and I'm not so sure that BR would've gotten the best of it (even with all the EXTRA BS that Castellano brings to the table in stretch runs).

There's not much that separates most of these horses --- there's much that separates them in terms of the rides (and setups) they get, however.

This is the best comment on this thread so far. If PC gets a better ride today then she probably wins. Just if BR got a better ride last out she would have at least hit the board.
