I see that is alot better.

CD might give BB a challenge in the BCC.

I think you are right. Obviously Big Browns workouts have not been to impressive as of late and who can argue with Casino Drives streak.

Around here, you are probably better off coming out of the blocks firing away with a little sarcasm. You will get plenty of it here.

Just not from me.

Then you knew, as a total newbie supposedly, that BTW is Serling.

Give it up Joe!

Actually, I want it to be more challenging for us all next time around.

I get it.....you're using the same sarcasm as mentioned earlier in this post. Pure Clan will embarass Backseat Rhythm in the Filly Mare Turf should they be that idiotic enough to go (you do know it's 1 1/4 miles....and remember the outcome last time they met at that distance?)

Actually, I was just giving BTW some credit. Regardless of what happens in the BC, Backseat Rhythm was certainly the better horse today and his backers (and i would imagine BTW was one of them) were rewarded with a nice price in a small field.

Just curious, say you owned Backseat Rhythm, would you still think it's idiotic to go to the Filly and Mare turf? Oh and you do know that BR was ridden poorly in the race, which directly affected where she finished right? And correct me if I'm wrong, but the
score is 1-1 at this point right?

Good question. I certainly would not run her in the Breeders Cup and instead look for a much easier Grade 1 race for her against three year old fillies going a mile and an eighth. Wait, I think I've found the perfect spot for her......The Queen Elizabeth II at Kenneland. And yes indeed the score is all square at 1-1..

Wait a minute? Pure Clan is allowed to run in the BC but Backseat Rhythm is not? That's a tough opinion to back.

when did I ever mentioned the word "allowed"? I was asked a hypothetical question and simply provided my opinion. I love it when "Serling" states his opinion on this board and 95% of those posting here think he is the Derby Trail Messiah and can't question his opinions.

Also, I'm guessing most of you who witnessed the questionable trip Pure Clan had to overcome today had no consequences on the outcome of todays race.

Newsflash idiot.....it's 1 3/8 miles.

Pure Clan had an easier trip today and still lost.....BR owned her today and will continue to kick her ass.

I certainly dont think anyone is a "messiah" of any kind although in this case i wish i did because i then would have cashed today on this race. Instead, i am holding worthless paper with the 1 on top.

I brought this topic back up because I remembered it from a few weeks ago. If Pure Clan would have won, someone would most likely have pulled this topic back up and asked BTW if he still felt Backseat Rhythm was better than Pure Clan. I thought it only fair to bring it back up as I originally disagreed with him.

Going into today i didnt even think it was close between the two horses. Obviously I was wrong.

To say that Backseat Rhythm shouldnt at least take a shot at the BC really doesnt make much sense to me unless there is some crazy freak euro coming over. If Pure Clan is going to be the favorite, i think that they would be foolish not to at least give it a shot.

Backseat Rhythm will most likely go to the QE II and not the BC. Pure Clan will probably get another shot at her there. Pure Clan wasn't best today but perhaps Keeneland will be another story.

It was nice to see the IEAH people congratulate Paul Pompa, who owns Backseat Rhythm, immediately after today's race. It seems they surpassed the petty jealousy your post exuded. But, maybe I just read it wrong.

What am I missing? I stated a couple of weeks ago that I thought Backseat Rhythm was possibly better than Pure Clan. They met today, Pure Clan was even money to Backseat Rhythm's virtual 5:1, and Backseat Rhythm won. No big deal....I'm certainly wrong much more often than I'm right. However, how does that justify you taking a cheap shot at me?

And, furthermore, why is my name in quotes? I mean, I can take the cheap shots, but not the misuse of punctuation.

....wow, her getting beat today by half a length has convinced you of who is a better horse? Even though last out we beat BR by 5 1/4? Another 1/16 today and PC would have drawn away past her. Even if Pure clan had to readjust back to her correct lead off the brush.

I appologize...it was the heat of the moment. I need a refresher course on a lot of my proper punctuation usage.

No problem.

But, by the way, being the Derby Trail Messiah is not exactly a compliment. I probably deserve the moniker, but it's kind of like being the smartest kid in the.......well, you know.
