NoBiz would win The Kentucky Derby if it was sponsored by The Special Olympics.

He's now 2 for 2 in miserable failures when leaving California. He may win the Santa Anita Derby but my money won't be anywhere near him on Derby Day.

Why does this horse have his own thread?

ddthetide 03-13-2007 01:14 PM

here's how i look at the Derby. it has turned into a free-for-all. 12 of 20 horses probably have a ligit shot to win. it all depends on which one shows up determined to win on may 5th. when the bumping, grinding and dirt starts flying how many of the 12 will quit? none of us can figure that out.

because i like these 3 RIGHT NOW doesn't mean thats where my money will be in 7 weeks. i'll probably stick with at least 1 of the 3, right or wrong.

And how much money did you lose in that race? Looks like you'll be losing more when the horses from that race run back.

This post makes me think raising the minimum betting age to 25 isn't a bad idea.

Do you want the list of faster older horses, too? This is the Beyer leaderboard for all distances, but plenty of Triple Crown nominees are so-far faster than Nobiz's 98.

Funny you mentioned, I've been waiting on him as a friend of a friend owns him and i got in my first gulfstream photo a few weeks ago.He worked the other day in like 1:10.4 ! Its been announced that he will run on the undercard of the florida derby in the Aventura stakes at 7F, probably vs Jerkens , Blue Bullet, another speed burner.

JDank34 03-13-2007 08:20 PM

PG1985..funny to me how you can dismiss Adore The Gold and any post and/or trip issues he may have had and yet STILL continue to gush over NBLS while making excuses for him. I am not a huge ATG fan in terms of Derby prospects, but I am still trying to understand your complete fascination with that goofball in Taggs barn?

Thanks DaHoss and Cajun..I totally agree with you

POINTGIVEN1985 03-13-2007 08:26 PM

lets just wait to the wood, im predicting right now 4 weeks out that he wins it by more then 2 lenghts..... so lets just wait and see if he is a goofball in Taggs barn, or if tagg has another serious derby horse.

JDank34 03-13-2007 08:30 PM

I'm prediciting right now.... 4 weeks out that Osama Bin Laden will be caught in a cave in Pakistan by Angelina Jolie's baby Maddox...NO WAIT that definately won't happen either...sorry I must have been daydreaming!

well buddy why dont you make a prediction, i put myself out there, if he losses i will have to here it from all of you, and if he wins i get no praise, but i still put out there what i feel and i feel he will improve with the blinkers and win the wood, regardless of who else runs in the wood

Come again? Who he's running against means A LOT. I actually like Nobiz a lot, but he's no lock. Haven't you learned your lesson yet?

POINTGIVEN1985 03-13-2007 08:37 PM

I didn't know what his screen name meant either... when I finally found out (from watching Clerks 2), I almost died laughing. That movie was hilarious. :D

well with the way most of you responded about nobiz when i originaly posted this thread you'd think he was going to be 50-1 in the wood

That's not attacking... I never called you names or anything. Asking if you'd learned your lesson was a legitimate question.

POINTGIVEN1985 03-13-2007 08:48 PM

it depends on what value is to you, the way i bet, big win and place bets 9-5 would be value to me, especially if the other horse taking the money is cq

i also never said i was a high roller, i make very few bets but when i make them there large, or i do the occasional pick 4, today for example i bet a horse at tampa bay downs $60 to win i hit the horse was 7-2 i picked up $279, and that was a small bet for me but it was also the only bet i made all day
