I was going to sit out the first at Randwick cause of the highly anticipated debut of Rubick but instead think I will play the filly Twirl to beat him.
Keeping it simple with straight win bets: (Sorry for merely listing the race # and not the proper names) R2 - Harry Hotspur R3 - Mr. Scary R4 - Vilanova I'm Imposing in the Cup (R6) (Brigantin and Travolta are both beatable) R7 - Recoinage I think it'll be a pretty chalky day at Caulfield (Iconic, Quick Snitzel) but will try to beat Limes in the 6th (looking at Gondokoro). Silk Pins in R1 (my one concession to sentimentality) R5 - Spirits Dance R8 - Instrumentalist Good luck to the older gents, Mr. Slick and Jungle Heat, in the 4th at Eagle Farm and to anyone playing tonight. |

Damien Browne picks up the mount on Earthquake (Blue Diamond Fillies Prelude) after Kerrin McEvoy is forced to pass due to injury (meanwhile Damien Oliver had been on standby but took another mount yesterday assuming Mc Evoy would ride. Doh!).
Earthquake and Eloping... can't wait. (... and, of course, Polanski, who is cross entered. I'd imagine Robbie Laing will go for it and run him in the Orr. I love this horse). http://www.racingandsports.com.au/en...gID=38643&pp=1 |

Playing God injured and out (retired) and now it's looking like Sertorius might be scratched because of the extreme heat.
Too bad... Big fan of Hawkspur and I do like Foreteller but looking elsewhere... NOT looking for a longshot and I wish I'd stop thinking of using him... someone quick talk me out of using Finishing Card. (not in the same league BUT I look at his form and keep thinking hmmm why couldn't he jump up (?) and, since I have no strong feelings for Moment of Change, Shamus Award or Eurozone, I might go there afterall ).Of course IF Sertorious stays in that changes things. Cannot wait for Polanski who is my lock of the day (moreso than Rubick or Earthquake). ![]() Trying to figure out who to use in the Prelude.. Chivalry and Nostradamus are looking really good BUT are drawn so wide... looking at Duckworth right now. Anyone playing tomorrow night? Cardus? Ed? Moodwalker? Dagolfer? |
