Okay, it does sort of change. The Yankees have a way better team than I gave them credit for. You were right about Sheffield and Matsui coming back and what an impact it would have. That is the best offensive lineup from top to bottom I have ever seen. I was very wrong about them.

They are in a position where they should steamroll teams. Its a very strange season in that there arent that many very good teams in the playoffs to beat. The A's have very good pitching but little offense. They have the best shot to knock off the Yankees. The Mets are very talented offensively but still not in the same league as the Yankees, and there pitching leaves a lot to be desired (albeit Glavine was really great against a terrible offensive team last night).

How can any Yankee fan say right now that anything less than a World Series win this season (with that lineup and the lack of very many good teams to beat) wouldnt be a huge disappointment? I really dont get it. If I was a Yankee fan I would be disappointed if they didnt cruise to a title these next 3 weeks.

I was very wrong about them. I can admit it. They're very, very good.
