No, you didn't EARN the right. It's a benefit provided by employment, just like your HEALTHCARE. A vast majority of Americans don't get a pension- less than 20% at this point (by definition, PAID IN FULL BY THE EMPLOYER, in your case the federal government)- in fact only 50% of Americans even work for a company which sponsors a retirement plan at all, which includes 401k's or 403b's- since you probably don't know what those are, it's tax beneficial retirement savings PAID FOR BY THE EMPLOYEE.
You are the last person that should be complaining about handouts from the Fed.
